Scratch A Dragons Story

Children have a strange relationship with dragons. When they are very small, dragon stories are used to scare them. As they grow older, dragon stories are often used to underline the difference between good and bad. NextGen Gaming, the gaming software provider, has worked on this theme but in a different way. They have come up with a new scratch card game called Scratch A Dragons Story with a dragon theme. But instead of scaring or teaching you, this game would only entertain you. The name Ruff the Mighty Dragon should tell you enough about how the game is so much fun. The architecture is standard, with 5 reels and 25 paylines.

Scratch A Dragons Story – RTP and Maximum Win

The bet amount can be set by you in the ‘Bet’ section, where you use the Up and Down arrows to set the amount you bet. If doing it every time is too much of a bother, you can opt for the Autoplay feature as well. The only catch is that you can use the double up feature while you are playing manually. This allows you to again bet the amount you have won. Autoplay does not have this functionality, though. So you can start as low as 0.01 credits for your minimum bet, and go on to 25 credits. While a higher bet amount costs you more, for sure, there is a flip side to the story as well. The same winning combination pays you more if you are playing with higher stakes. The RTP for this scratch card game is 95.17%, which is reasonably high. There are games which promise higher returns to player, but we will go with this for now.

Scratch A Dragons Story Symbols

Before we come to the demon-themed symbols of Scratch A Dragons Story, let us talk about another type of symbols which you normally find in most games. These are the playing card symbols representing Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten and Nine. These are the multiplier wins you are entitled to for these cards:

  • Ace and King – 3 of them get you 15x, 4 of them give you 50x, and if you strike 5 in a row, you get an awesome 200x your wager amount
  • Queen and Jack – 10x for 3, 25x for 4, and 150x for 5
  • 10 and 9 – 5x for 3, 20x for 4, and 100x for 5

Next we come to the other set of symbols which are aligned to the dragon theme. These symbols show images of brave knights or of royal costumes. Just like the playing cards, every symbol has certain multipliers when you scratch it. Before playing, you can click on the small ‘i’ on your screen and know these multipliers. For example, the shields and boot can give you 20x, 100x, or 250x returns on your staked amount if you strike 3, 4, or 5 of them. On the other hand, the mighty King William’s symbol would fetch you 2x, 50x, 250x, and 500x your bet amount for 2, 3, 4, or 5 of them in a line.

There are two special symbols in the game. An image of a red dragon is the Wild symbol for this game, with the word Wild emblazoned on it. If you have any missing symbol on your winning combination, the Wild can take its place. The Wild features in the second, third, fourth and fifth reels normally. Depending on whether you get 2, 3, 4, or 5 of them, you stand to win 10x, 200x, 500x, and 2000x times your bet amount. A pearl represents the Scatter special, which is the second special symbol. Unlike the Wild, the Scatter symbol has dual rewards for you. Here is a list what you get when you score between 2 and 5 Scatters:

  1. 2 Scatters – 25x bet amount
  2. 3 Scatters – 125x bet amount plus 10 free spins
  3. 4 Scatters – 375x bet amount plus 10 free spins
  4. 5 Scatters – 2500x bet amount plus 10 free spins

Scratch A Dragons Story Bonus

The bonus rounds come to you in either of two ways in Scratch A Dragons Story. You can get Free Games when you collect three to five Scatters. This round gets replayed in Autoplay. The bet amount is the same that was played in the earlier spin. The second bonus goes by the name Brave Sir William Bonus!! There are really no triggers for this, and it can get activated randomly. You need to throw a fireball into the Knight.
